Dr. Omar is a native of Ithaca, having spent the majority of his life here. He went to Cayuga Heights Elementary, Boynton Middle School, and Ithaca High School. His parents met in California and moved to Ithaca in 1985.
Dr. Omar been with the practice almost since the beginning. While a student at Cornell, he spent some time in the practice, learning the world of dentistry and helping out in any way he could. After he graduated from college, he worked at Gorges Dental as an assistant and receptionist.
Dr. Omar then moved on to the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery. While at SUNY Buffalo, he participated in several charitable activities and provided free care to those in need.
Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Omar furthered his skills at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Orlando, FL. He is also well-trained in esthetics, prosthodontics, CAD/CAM technology, pediatric, restorative, and implant dentistry.
Outside of the practice, Dr. Omar spends his time playing soccer, tennis, hiking, and skiing. He’s also an avid reader and is always looking for a good book recommendation!
